
Dr. Jessica Anna D’Abreo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bachelor of Physical Education at Don Bosco College, Panaji, affiliated with Goa University. She holds a PhD in Physical Education from Savitribai Phule Pune University and has qualified UGC-NET and Maharashtra SET. With a strong academic background and extensive professional experience, she has made notable contributions to physical education and teacher education.
Dr. D’Abreo has worked extensively across the educational spectrum, from school education to teacher education, in India and the United Arab Emirates. With over 14 years of diverse teaching experience, she teaches both theory and practical courses and is actively involved in student mentoring, experiential learning, and skill development.
In addition to teaching, she holds key institutional responsibilities and contributes actively to academic and professional forums. She has served as a panellist, resource person, and session co-chair at national and international conferences and faculty development program. She is a member of the International Physical Literacy Association (IPLA) and the International Association for Physical Education in Higher Education (AIESEP).
Her research interests include physical education pedagogy, physical education teacher education, and teacher workplace practices. Dr. D’Abreo is committed to advancing teacher education through research, innovative teaching methodologies, and hands-on training, while promoting lifelong physical activity, leadership, and values through physical education.
