Don Bosco College, Panjim, successfully hosted a Hands-on UI/UX Design Workshop on Saturday, 9 August 2025, in the BCA Lab. The event was organised by Tech Savvy Hub – The IT Club, in association with the Department of Computer Applications, with the objective of equipping students with practical skills in User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) design.
The workshop was conducted by Ms Manasi Remje, Senior Design Associate – UI/UX at GCCX, Goa. Her engaging session offered students real-world insights into the design process, industry-standard tools, and career opportunities in the field.

The event commenced with a formal welcome and introduction of the speaker by Assistant Professor Ms. Neeke Golatkar. The interactive session saw active participation from 37 TYBCA students and 5 faculty members, who engaged in live design activities and received personalised feedback from the expert.
Mr Abhishek Sharma from TYBCA B was recognised as the Best Performer of the session and was awarded a certificate by the guest speaker. As a token of appreciation, Department Coordinator Mr Rohan Kerkar presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Ms Manasi Remje for her valuable contribution to the students’ learning experience.

The event concluded with a vote of hanks delivered by student Ms Diya Singhal, who acknowledged the efforts of the speaker, organising faculty, the department, and all enthusiastic participants. A group photograph was taken to commemorate the successful conclusion of the workshop.
This workshop forms part of the department’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing students with relevant, hands-on exposure to emerging fields in technology and design.
