On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Chaitanya Pratisthan Goa, a registered trust, organised the ‘One Rakhi for the Jawan’ programme at Kala Academy, Panjim. The event aimed to instil a sense of patriotism among students and to express gratitude and love towards the soldiers who protect our nation. It was also a tribute to recognise and remember the sacrifices made for the country's security and well-being.
As part of this noble initiative, Don Bosco College participated by collecting 505 rakhis from its students. The initiative was led by Shania D'Costa, General Secretary of the college, along with the Cultural Secretary Lenin Rodrigues, members of the student council and other students. Together, they delivered the rakhis to Kala Academy, where students from various schools and colleges across Goa had gathered for this patriotic cause. Asst. Prof. Shantanu Arlekar from the BCA Department accompanied the students.
The programme not only reinforced the values of patriotism, but also encouraged young minds to appreciate the selfless service of jawans. The event was a meaningful gesture of unity and respect.
