Ms. Shareen Alphonso holds an MBA in Hospitality, Travel, and Tourism from Goa University. With a strong academic foundation complemented by meaningful industry exposure, she brings both theoretical depth and practical insight into the classroom. Her professional journey includes a notable tenure at Open Destinations Private Ltd., where she developed a comprehensive understanding of global travel systems, tourism operations, and destination management practices.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in Travel and Tourism in Goa, Ms. Shareen is deeply committed to academic excellence and student development. She specializes in tourism planning, destination development, sustainability, emerging tourism trends, and experiential tourism. Her teaching approach integrates conceptual clarity with real-world application, ensuring that students not only understand tourism theories but also learn how to apply them strategically in industry contexts.

Her research interests include cultural heritage integration with modern tourism systems, sustainable destination planning, inclusive tourism, and regional competitiveness.
