On July 21, 2026, Don Bosco College’s Department of English in collaboration with the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism and the Books and Beyond Club organised a movie outing at Inox, Panjim to watch the acclaimed adaptation, ‘The Odyssey’. This initiative offered students an opportunity to step beyond the traditional classroom setting and engage with a seminal work of the Western literary canon.
The film bridged Homer’s epic poem with Christopher Nolan’s magnificent storytelling, while enhancing the students’ understanding of literary themes like fate, exile and the test of human perseverance. The outing was coordinated by Assistant Professors Jude Fernandes and Agnelo D’Souza.
