In a significant move to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice, Don Bosco College, Panjim, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Anka Services on 11 May 2026. Anka Services specializes in media relations, digital marketing and print advertising. The partnership aims to revolutionize student progression through a comprehensive framework of industrial integration and skill-driven initiatives.
The MoU was formally executed by Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Director of Don Bosco College and Mrs. Parvish Andani Kamat, Founder of Anka Services, in the presence of Prof. Teotone Vaz, Principal, Mr. Archie Fernandes, Coordinator of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Ms. Christal Ferrao, faculty member of the TIP cell and Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Ms. Ansika Mahableshwar Sangelkar and Mr. Mohammad Yunus Shingangutti, representatives from Anka Services.
This collaboration covers several critical pillars of higher education, including Curriculum Design, Industrial Training and Visits, and Research and Development. A cornerstone of the agreement is the establishment of an annual fellowship program, designed to provide students with immersive professional development. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate Guest Lectures, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and dedicated Placement support for trained students.
The partnership is a vital step in strengthening student development and progression. By aligning classroom learning with real-world requirements, Don Bosco College ensures that its graduates are not just degree-holders, but industry-ready professionals with a competitive edge.
The synergy between the two entities was already evident during the recently concluded lateral course, "Create Impact: Media, Campaigns and Advertising for the Real World." Mrs. Parvish Andani Kamat, founder of Anka Services served as a key resource person for the program, providing students with valuable insights about high-impact communication and modern advertising strategies.
