Goa University women's Football team participated in the All India Interuniversity Football Championship and qualified for the Khelo India University Games 2026 by securing a top 8 finish.


The team played well but bowed out in the Quarterfinals to the host team (Annamalai University). Blessica Rodrigues (BA), Pearl Almeida (BBA T&T), Aniela Barreto (BPED) and Kanwiksha Rekdo (BPED) from Don Bosco College,Panjim were a part of this team.

They along with the team will have the distinction of being the only players from the state of Goa to play in the Khelo India University Games this year since only the top 8 universities in each discipline qualify for Khelo India tournament.
