A session on Healthy Relationships was conducted for FYBBA students of Don Bosco College, Panjim, on 12 February 2026 as part of their Health and Wellness curriculum. The resource person, Br. Darryl Cheradil of the Salesian Society, addressed students on the values of love and empathy and their role in building meaningful human connections.

He illustrated his message with a story about Peter Andria, an orphan from Turin, Italy, who found shelter and care under Don Bosco, founder of the Salesian order. According to Br. Cheradil, this act of compassion inspired lifelong loyalty and gratitude, demonstrating how kindness can transform lives. Highlighting empathy, he referred to Edith Stein, a Jewish nurse who cared for the wounded during wartime. Her experience with the suffering deepened her compassion and shaped her spiritual journey, ultimately leading to her martyrdom.

Br. Cheradil explained that empathy heals conflicts, strengthens community bonds, fosters self-understanding, and improves communication. He concluded by encouraging students to practice both love and empathy in daily life, noting that these qualities create stronger and more meaningful relationships.
