The Ecotiva Club of Don Bosco College, Panjim, in collaboration with Corporation of the City of Panaji and Feedback Foundation collaborated to organise a cleanup drive at Miramar Beach.
The event, themed ‘Safai Apnao, Bimari Bhagao’ (Embrace Cleanliness, Prevent Illness) saw active participation from the students of Don Bosco College, who demonstrated their dedication and enthusiasm. The collective effort aimed at addressing environmental issues while promoting public health through a cleaner and healthier beach environment. Mr Rohit Monseratte, the Mayor at CCP, acknowledged the efforts of the students, saying that the initiative reflected their shared commitment to environmental stewardship and public health.
The cleanup saw the active participation of over sixty students and the faculty of the college. Assistant Professor Glenda Mascarenhas, faculty in-charge of the club and Mr Balaji Kendre, Vice President of Feedback Foundation, were instrumental in organising this initiative. The cleanup was attended by Assistant Professors Nafisa da Costa Frias, Shareen Alfonso and Jude Fernandes in the presence of the Principal, Dr Cedric Silveira. The workers of CCP and Feedback Foundation gladly assisted in the clean up.
