The Pixels Club of Don Bosco College, Panjim, organised its initiation ceremony for the academic year 2024-2025 and a talk on ‘Events and Night Photography’ on August 7, 2024. The club welcomed the esteemed guest speaker, Mr Gunjan Chari, a seasoned photographer and cinematographer, who shared his inspiring journey and expertise. The event aimed to educate members on the art of photography, particularly in events and nightlife.

The ceremony began with the introduction of the club's key members, setting the tone with a collective pledge to always capture life's fleeting moments. With anticipation in the air, Mr Gunjan Chari took the stage, delving into the intricacies of compositions, the energy of events, and the vibrancy of nightlife and music festivals. His talk was a visual and emotional journey that showcased the magic of capturing life’s most precious moments. His examples and behind-the-scenes stories brought his work to life, inspiring the audience to view photography as both an art and a craft.
Following Mr Gunjan’s presentation, students asked various questions ranging from equipment to ideas and skills for capturing impressive photos. He emphasised the importance of skills over equipment, encouraging beginners to experiment and learn new techniques. "It's not about the camera you have, but how you use it," said Mr Gunjan, reassuring those who rely on phone cameras that they too can capture stunning images.


The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the presentation of a token of appreciation to Mr Gunjan. The Pixels Club’s first activity for this academic year was a resounding success, leaving members buzzing with inspiration to capture the world through their lenses.
