Padharo Mhaare Des - Rajathan Tour Diaries

The Department of Travel & Tourism had organised its annual tour for its students, to Rajasthan from January 29 to February 5 2023. This year the tour was clubbed by the Department of Social Work, with an itinerary suitable for their curriculum.
After landing in Jodhpur on January 30, the team visited Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhavan Palace and were mesmerised by the ancient architecture of Jodhpur. The entire team then headed to Jaisalmer where in they visited Nathmal Haveli, Patwan Haveli and the Golden Fort. Thereafter the students and staff enjoyed the safari rides at the Sam Sand Dunes with wiggly woggly camel rides followed by a bon fire. The tent stay was very entertaining with DJ, Rajasthani folk dance and music, a gala dinner had been arranged to add on to the entertainment. The morning was very refreshing near the Gadisar Lake after which the team headed towards Bikaner and they got to worship at the Karni Mata temple. The next places of visit were the Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace and Camel Farm, where everybody enjoyed dairy products like camel milk Ghee, chaas, etc. Bikaner was the spot for shopping before the entire team left for the station.
The students were accompanied by faculty members and staff, Ms. Stella Rodrigues, Ms. Neha Talaulikar, Ms.Vandana Patil, Ms. Disha Ramnathkar, Ms. Siddhi Bondre and Ms. Flossy Fernandes who efficiently handled the entire trip. The tour overall was a wonderful experience to everyone.
