On February 7, 2023, at the Don Bosco College campus in Panjim, a workshop on the growing racket sport "pickleball" was held for Bachelor of Physical Education students in collaboration with Globel Sports Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. A group of five coaches led two-hour practical sessions with 80 BPEd students and four faculty members, and ten of them were chosen to serve as officials at the 2023 “Indian Pickleball Open” 2023, which will take place at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Miramar and Panjim Gymkhana Sports Club on February 10, 11, and 12.


Additionally, Global Sports Pvt. Ltd. from Mumbai has indicated an interest in working with DBC, Panjim, to promote "pickleball" in Goa. Dr. Ajith Gopi, the department's coordinator for physical education and sports, gave the formal vote of thanks to conclude the workshop.
