The BAMC’s takes it to the Net

QUICK BITE - Sports committee of Don Bosco College organised an inter class Basketball Tournament in association with department of Physical Education on 9th January with 10 teams participating in the same. The one day tournament was a great success as all the students enthusiastically participated.


Don Bosco College Sports Committee had organised an interclass Basket Ball Tournament in association with the BPEd students and guidance by Dr. Ajith Gopi - Coordinator Department of Physical Education on 9 January 2023, at 11:00 am in the College Oratory. The event began with a briefing of Rules & Regulations by the BPEd student and official - Ms. Amisha Lotlikar to all the participants. A total of 10 teams from different departments of the college actively participated in this tournament. The College Oratory was crowded with a mammoth number of around 100 students as spectators. The audience surged with energy as teams got knocked out or climbed up the draw. There was an incredible display of performance by the players who dribbled with their sporting skills and scored with precision, while Ms Amisha Lotlikar and Guest Referee, Mr. Sidney Missier, Physical Education Teacher and Qualified Coach, officiated the match. SY BAMC has put up a wonderful show in the finals to defeat SY BBA who had a massive fighting spirit till the end with a score of 10-06.


The one-day tournament was a great success as all the students enthusiastically participated with a trusting sportsman spirit. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shimron Nathan, Asst. Sports Secretary, followed by a Prize distribution ceremony where the champions team was crowned and awarded with a Trophy by Mr. Sachin Parsekar, Assistant Professor in Physical Education. The students captured these moments by clicking pictures with the Runner up and the winning team along with the teaching fraternity. It was indeed a great event for all the sports lovers to showcase their talents in this field.
