QUICK BITE - The heritage club organized a session for the departmental students to introduce to them “Soul Travelling” and its activities. The speaker for the session was Mr. Clyde Telles, Operation Head from Soul Travelling.
Heritage is an important part of everyone’s ancestry and it is in this regard Don Bosco college has signed a MOU with Soul Travelling Goa to understand the heritage of Goa in a better manner. The heritage club organized a session for the departmental students to introduce to them “Soul Travelling” and its activities. The speaker for the session was Mr. Clyde Telles, Operation Head from Soul Travelling. Ms Sarah Cabral from SYBBATT class introduced the speaker to all present in the hall.
In the introductory session, Mr Clyde questioned the students as to why do tourists visit Goa. To which he got answers such as Tourists visit Goa for parties or casinos. He went on to say that Goa has a lot of hidden potential which is not explored and we should be proud of our heritage and culture. “From Goa’s rich architectural caves, churches and temples to its natural springs and waterfalls all combine to present a great picture of Goa” he added. “Even the folk dances, traditional cuisine, fishing, clay bathing and bird sanctuaries are not made aware to many tourists”. He concluded that “Soul travelling Goa” does its best to showcase all these hidden potentials of Goa to the tourists. At the end of the session the students interacted with the speaker and asked many lucrative questions related to the tourism Industry. Ms. Annalee Britto, SYBBATT gave the vote of thanks and a token of appreciation was presented by Asst Professor Ms Stella Rodrigues.
