On 2 March 2024 a session was held for the students of F.Y.Bcom of Don Bosco College, Panjim as a part of the financial literacy week 2024. The resource person was Mr. Sagar Korarkar who is the Manager at India post payments bank (IPPB), Panjim. The theme for the financial literacy week 2024 was "Make a right- Become financially smart" which was held from 26th February 2024 to 1st March 2024. He began his session by creating awareness about the IPPB which was introduced by our Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi in 2018. The aim of this financial literacy week was to make the students aware about the IPPB, the benefits they provide with and the internship programs.


Mr. Sagar explained to the students the power of compounding how anyone can make money with this benefit. He also mentioned that Albert Einstein has tagged Power of compounding as the 8th wonder of the world. The ideathon of this bank was also explained to the students. The various investments available at the IPPB were explained to the students as well as how they can start investing money for their future. The session was very interactive which helped the students understand and learn better.
Through this talk the students learnt about the IPPB a step taken by our Prime Minister to make our country financially literate. They also got an idea of how the IPPB can help them for their future through the various investment benefits they provide as well as the internship programs available.
